Download Spec Sheet here >> touchWARE Specifications The touchWARE Series Operator Panels provide integrated operator interface and control operation within one enclosure. Using the ControlWARE modular enclosures provides users with selecting just the IO modules they need instead of a fixed number of IO with limited computing power. The touchWARE provides room for the controlMANAGER SX PLC and four IO modules of any type in the back housing enclosure module on a DIN rail. Additional IO modules may be added in a separate enclosure.
The front of the unit provides a high-resolution color touch screen TFT LCD display. The display is powered by a dedicated Geode GX1 microprocessor with an additional graphics MMX processor to serve of fast graphics pages. The HMI communicates with the controlMANAGER PLC via a 100 BaseT Ethernet TCP/IP connection with OPC DA 2.0 communications for industry compatibility. Since the touchWARE system is shipped with Windows XP Pro, it can run our ControlWARE HMI, any other SCADA application, or any other windows-based application. Windows 2003 Server can be configured as well if higher end system resources are configured.
The touchWARE interface can also be used to extend the SCADA or HMI application out to an environmentally harsh environment. Since the ControlWARE hmiWARE and scadaWARE applications offer both thin or thick client options, the graphic files for the HMI application can either be copied over the network to the touchWARE unit, or the system can be configured to boot up and connect to a Terminal Services or Citrix application for zero-footprint operation.
touchWARE systems are available from 4” all the way up to 36” sizes. Larger sizes may have longer lead times. touchWARE is an integrated industrial PC and touch screen interface, often called a Panel PC. If only the display is desired, we can also configure a touch screen display only, and it would have to be connected to another PC or our operatorMANAGER industrial PC.
